Today's Races and Official Tips

Across the top of the platform sit today's races, official tips and race results. Kingsley points to a "next to go" listing that shows upcoming races in time order, using Doomben race 2 followed by Randwick race 1 as examples.

Under official tips, the categories run across the top. These include golden bullets, of which there are three on the day shown, backs listed in time order, "ruffies" (one on the day shown), and lays. Kingsley highlights a newly added feature, the quaddies, which he says came about after many requests. Quaddies are available on every meeting throughout Australia, seven days a week. He explains the tips are arranged in time order for the full day and can be printed, and that users can include or remove categories such as lays or golden bullets to suit their preference.

Race Day Screen

Using Randwick race 1 (running at 1:25) as an example, Kingsley walks through the race day screen. At the top are the Kingsley selections, with four listed for that race. He says everything below the selections line feeds into them, drawing on factors, price and material he has built over the last 25 years.

Below the selections is a race analysis snapshot covering several metrics:

- Race pressure – the three horses most suited by the pace of the race, in order. - CSW rating – described as an old-school time rating, shown in order. - Bullet price value – rated prices, with overlays highlighted (Cold Brew rated $2.40 and number seven at $8.50 in the example). - CAM rating – the cruising acceleration metric, explained further below. - Form factors – old-school form factors drawn from AI. - Race strength – a class-style measure based on the past strength of races a horse has been in.

Graphs are also provided for class, speed and weight ratings.

The CAM Rating

Kingsley describes the cruising acceleration metric as a new metric shown in graph form for easier visualisation. It breaks down into cruising, which reflects the early pace of the horse, and acceleration, which measures how fast the horse comes home, predominantly over the last 600 metres. The overall figure is summarised as the CAM rating.

Live Runner Screen

The live runner screen is colour-coded throughout. Cold Brew appears in green because it is a back. Kingsley explains the price display shows the bullet price, the open price (released with the form between roughly 10:00 and 10:30), the high, and the live price, all giving a picture of fluctuations as they populate. The live price is colour-coded, with green indicating an overlay or value and red indicating an underlay or poor value.

A drop-down menu provides runner comments for every horse, a snapshot of the ratings, form factors and any gear changes.
